Chaos erupts in the Conciliar Church following SSPX consecrations

We have truly entered the time of cardinals opposing cardinals and bishops against bishops.

The SSPX consecrations on July 1, and the subsequent “excommunications” handed down by pro-LGBT Cardinal Tucho Fernandez, have exposed how the postconciliar Church’s religion of relativism has devolved into a self-contradictory, hypocritical dumpster fire.

This past week’s headlines reveal the schizophrenia.

In a communiqué dated July 8, the SSPX argued that it is “neither schismatic nor disobedient.” The group cited the eminent Thomas Cardinal Cajetan (1469-1534) in its defense: “Disobeying, even obstinately, the Sovereign Pontiff does not constitute a schism. What constitutes a schism is refusing to submit to him as head of the whole Church.”

Within the Synodal camp, there is hardly any consensus as to where things currently stand.

Canon lawyer Fr. Gerald Murray, who is under the authority of the effeminate Archbishop of New York, Ronald Hicks, has argued that attending an SSPX Mass does not mean you are excommunicated.

It is “a canonical mess,” he said during an appearance on Raymond Arroyo’s podcast recently. “An explanatory note can explain what a decree contains. It can’t add to a decree. So, the decree did not say the priests were excommunicated. Therefore, the explanatory note cannot do that having legal effect.”

Conciliar propaganda outfit EWTN, meanwhile, has published an article noting how multiple bishops are forbidding laity from attending SSPX Masses, including Archbishop Bernard Hebda of St. Paul and Minneapolis; Bishop Frank Caggiano of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Bishop Douglas Lucia of Syracuse, New York; and Bishop James Johnston of Kansas City–St. Joseph, Missouri.

“It is my hope they will not follow the above-mentioned bishops in separating themselves from the successor of Peter, Pope Leo XIV, and from the Church that he humbly leads,” said Hebda, while failing to note that Leo has separated himself from St. Peter and the Catholic Church he lead by preaching the false Gospel of Vatican II.

Another prelate who has added to the hypocrisy is Bishop Michael Sis of San Angelo, Texas. Sis warned Catholics not to attend SSPX Masses even though he himself participated in an “interfaith” Hanukkah ceremony in 2023, an act that violates perennial Church teaching.

Fr. James Altman was his usual outspoken self during a podcast for LifeSiteNews. He argued that the consecrations and the Vatican’s response have forced Catholics to confront questions many have long avoided. “The quiet part is now said out loud,” he exclaimed.

On X, Altman took aim at Taylor Marshall for backing the excommunications, stating: “We really do not care what ‘Dr.’ Taylor Marshall can or cannot support.”

Altman also used his social media account to praise Polish Archbishop Jan Paweł Lenga, who argued that the excommunications are clearly invalid.

“What Fernández wrote on paper … only proves how far the Vatican has departed from Christ and from the faith,” Lenga said in a forceful statement. “Prevost’s approval of the excommunication is proof that he no longer represents the Church that follows Jesus.”

Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller made yet another about-face when he dissented from Fernandez’s July 2 explanatory note. Although the Vatican’s document says SSPX marriages and confessions are now invalid, Müller argued that they remain valid but are illicit.

Fellow Benedict disciple Archbishop Georg Gänswein stepped into the debate as well.

During an interview with Italian newspaper Il Giornale, he said that his old boss experienced profound “sorrow” over Francis’ restrictions on the Latin Mass. He also said the time is “ripe” for Leo to free the traditional liturgy.

Disunity is not from the Holy Spirit

The fallout from the SSPX consecrations proves that more than six decades of relativism, dialogue, and ambiguity have produced total confusion within the synodal chimera, confirming that the mark of unity is totally absent from the Conciliar Church.

Tragically, this lack of consensus demonstrates that the God who is not the author of discord (1 Corinthians 14:33) is not present in the Synodal Church and that we have truly entered the time of “cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops.”
