In April, Catholic YouTuber Alexander Poe invited me on his podcast. Alex is a thoughtful interviewer who has had on some of the biggest names in the Traditional Catholic media world.

He wanted to talk to me about Catholic integralism and political philosophy. We also discussed world events, Church history, and the Second Vatican Council.

I told Alex that Vatican II was a Modernist coup and that it embraced Modernism in the following ways:

  • Dei Verbum: Biblical Modernism
  • Lumen Gentium: Ecclesial/Theological Modernism
  • Sacrosanctum Concilium: Liturgical Modernism
  • Gaudium et Spes: Philosophical Modernism (Integral Humanism)
  • Nostra Aetate: Religious Modernism
  • Dignitatis Humanae: Political Modernism
  • Unitatis Redintegratio: Theological/Ecclesial Modernism

I’ve talked about this on X earlier this year. I also did a podcast on it.

The presence of Modernism and Modernist principles in the Council’s documents are easy to detect once you’ve studied the original schema prepared by the Roman Curia.

Liberals like Fr. Joseph Ratzinger despised the original documents because they re-affirmed the Church’s traditional teachings. He and others set out on replacing them with ones to their liking, which they succeeded in doing.

Over the past several months, Sean Wright and I did a 7-part series titled, “Zero Marks: Why the Conciliar/Synodal Church is not the Catholic Church.” If you haven’t watched it, here is the link to the playlist on YouTube. Below is the first episode, which was released in February.

I often tell people that understanding what happened at Vatican II is actually pretty simple. Dissident clergy some of whom were officially censured by the Church prior to Vatican II gained immense influence over the proceedings. Instead of being faithful to their vocation, they cheated on the Bride of Christ by introducing novel concepts, condemned theories, and modern philosophies into the Council’s documents. Rather than affirming the anti-liberal encyclicals and magisterial pronouncements made by the popes of the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries, they trampled on their graves by approving the very ideas they solemnly anathematized.

The “Conciliar Church” that emerged from the Council is essentially an imposter of the true Church of Christ. Instead of denouncing contemporary errors, it fornicates with modern trends and schools of thought while serving as the spiritual handmaid of the UN and other global institutions. Instead of calling on non-Catholics to convert, it is drunk on the wine of false ecumenism and appeasing Jewish pressure groups. Instead of elevating pious men filled with the Holy Spirit to its ranks, it promotes homosexuals, heretics, and hirelings while persecuting clergy and laity who adhere to the faith of our fathers.

Many Catholic theologians have said that pagan Rome was the Whore of Babylon. It is difficult to see how the modern Church doesn’t fit that description as well.
